Can the heat map requirement be dropped? Because the district is looking for a BYOD capable wireless solution what is the purpose of the predictive heat map in this bid? If requiring density already isn't coverage understood? Also a heat map without a wireless site survey is pretty worthless as you are not aware of the construction obstacles or channel interference. A wireless site survey requirement might be useful but a predictive heat map is a waste of time for both the vendor and the client.

Answer:
We have removed the heat map requirement.

• Out of the 31 lines, how many are basic/smartphones • How many minutes will be needed for each line • Will those lines need text/data and if so, how much • Will any of the lines need Push To Talk

Answer:
We've added a document that describes our current plans, which we would like to keep.

All 31 lines should be smartphones

All should have 300 minutes

All lines need unlimited text/data

All lines need push to talk

1. Is the Cisco 4507R layer 3 or layer 2? 2. Is the high school flat or routed? 3. What type of routing protocol are they using?

Answer:
The 4507 is layer 3. It has static routes to other campuses. The HS has multiple layer 3 vlans.

1. Does the router requirement include encryption and/or firewall capabilities? 2. Will the customer require 24x7 TAC support? 3. Can the access points be directly connected to the 4507 replacement? 4. Can the existing MM fiber be used instead of upgrading to SM? 5. How many of the LAN closet switches would be stacked?

Answer:

During the walk through I noticed what appeared to be 2 routers. What are the two routers doing? Are they both Internet routers? Is the internet connection fiber optic based and how much bandwidth is coming into the existing routers.

Answer:
These routers are there for a temporary fix to the wireless need.  The need for these routers are to be eliminated once the campus completes the infrastructure upgrade with wireless solution.

In regards to the wireless access points and controller does the district have any restrictions against using Meraki access points and controller?

Answer:
The district has no restricts on Meraki access points

How many remote campuses/buildings connect back to the high school? Are the uplinks from your fiber provider to the 4507 single mode or multimode? Are all the connections gigabit?

Answer:
We have 7 campuses that connect back to the high school.  The uplinks, we believe are from a multimode. The connections are gigaman connections

I noticed that in one of the Q&A responses it says an MDM is needed. If that is true then how many mobile devices will need to be licensed. MDM's are usually licensed on a per device count so the quantity of devices will be needed.

Answer:
There will be approximately 1000 devices.

Can you please provide a "show tech" from the Cisco 4507, Nexus 5548, Cisco 3825, and Cisco 2851.
