·         All applicable fees, surcharges, and taxes must be identified on the bid. E-rate rules require the applicants to evaluate the price of eligible goods and services that will be listed on the 471 application during the competitive bidding process. Fees and surcharges that apply but are not listed on the bid will be the responsibility of the bidding company, should their bid be awarded.

·         If there is a request for Internal Connections (Category Two) equipment, or Category One equipment listed on this IFCB the applicant will accept bids for functionally equivalent equipment.

Answer:

GBICs What speed? 10 Gbps Gbics

What type of cable medium - Single Mode Fiber, Multi Mode Fiber, or Copper? We are looking at all our options in this area.

UPS-What equipment is the UPS supporting? One switch with PoE capabilities supplying power to twelve access points.

Need total load in Watts Plug type needed for the UPS? 1200 watt on 110 plug

Cables - Do they need cat6 cables? What length? What color? Blue/Black/White CAT6 or higher varying lengths, (wiring a building...) not less than 2000 ft.

Rack - You mention 10-12U, what is the maximum depth in inches do they need? Floor mount or wall mount?

We are looking for a wall mounted 12U no more than 24 inches from front to back.

In conclusion, we are looking to expand our network with "future-proofing" in mind. We are wanting as much infrastructure as possible to be capable of running 10 Gbps services.

Cabling: --Is a lift needed for any Cat6 cabling? --Are there maps showing data cabling locations and wireless cabling locations? --Ripping out existing Cat5 copper cabling may not be doable as cable could be wrapped around duct work, ceiling grid, and intertwined with intercom cable and fire alarm cable. For data cables, cut off at top of wall and remove cable in wall. Is this acceptable? Rack: --Previous Q/A has 12U wall mounted - is that an open frame rack or enclosed cabinet? --Is new rack replacing an existing rack/cabinet? Or establishing a new network closet?
