Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

As internet demand grows, schools get more devices, and internet demand grows more. When was the last time you updated your bandwidth? What were your reason's for needing to upgrade? What is the available bandwidth to the school, how much of that bandwidth are you using at peak times? What are the student/teacher devices and approximately how many on site? What types of devices are used in the district? Do you plan to add more devices in the next year? A dedicated cache can support the classroom in various ways, what do you hope to achieve in terms of network performance by having a cache? Some schools have enough bandwidth and are specifically looking to bring targeted performance benefits to existing content. What are the high use web applications used in classrooms? Are there any paid web platforms that the school has invested in to support learning? User-wait can be a challenging issue for teachers and students. Classroom management problems increase with slow response time, and teacher abandonment of technology is also an issue. What user-wait issues are you experiencing (if any) at Dewitt? Besides software updates, the biggest demand hogs in schools are video in the classroom. Are teachers using YouTube with students? How would caching Youtube to remove that demand from your network while increasing reliability be helpful for your teacher/students/network?

Answer:

Caching server will be used in the area of online testing for our district.

I-Ready, Moby Max, Renaissance Learning, Odysseyware, Youtube are some web applications that are being used in the classroom. I apologize, but this is all of the information that I have now.

What testing platforms need to be cached?
