Are we replacing a total of 70 AP’s? Or are the 25 in the Elementary School the new AP’s?

Answer:
We are replacing all of the current access points (50) with new access points. We are adding 20 additional access points to our 50 current access points.

The 470 that I pulled off USAC states to quote a router and not a switch. Then whats posted on the IFCB has a switch and not a router. Which one do I quote? Do I quote both?

Answer:
Please bid the switch. We will be filing a new 470 that correctly indicates the need for the switch and not router. Bids should still go through this IFCB.

Answer:
 Walkthrough

All access points and attics are reachable via either attic ladder or step ladder.

4 buildings are glazed tile walls

1 is brick

2 are sheetrock

All 20 additional APs are to be installed in buildings with a common attic with cable ways already in place. New runs will be needed for the installation of the 20 APs.

The New High school will have the cabling installed by our construction contractor.  These will all be new installations, only requiring to be attached and plugged in.

Placement of APs are in every other classroom, walls allow for signal penetration.

APs will not be installed in hallways as we have 2 hour fire corridors. Except for the new HS, cable drops are being installed as part of construction.

The new HS receives the new switch - rack will be provided.
