Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

What does Graham ISD have in place currently? PRI? Is the phone system centralized or are there separate systems and telephone lines at each school? Would you consider an alternative service if it could interface with your current phone system(s)?

Answer:
There is no PRI line for the district.

The phone system is not centralized, each school has a separate system.

We would consider an alternate service if it would interface with our current system.

what is the manufacturer(s) of the phone system(s) at each school? Are the systems under or over 10 yrs old? Does each school have its own internet connection? What speed up/down is each connection?

Answer:
We are not requesting hosted VoIP on this IFCB. Except for the HS, all of the phone systems are over 10 years old. Internally the high school uses an NEC VoIP system, but all lines going to that system are analog and do not connect to any other schools.  As for the handsets, I believe all of them are NEC at every school.

All of the schools connect back to the high school via leased Gigabit fiber.  From there we have a full 200MB line to our ISP.

Is with district considering multi-year contracts for their WAN? (5,10,15 year contracts)

Answer:
 Yes, multi-year contracts are welcome.

Can we just bid 2 components (Internet Access and WAN Circuits?

Answer:
Yes, the requirement to "bid the entire project" only applies to the C2 project. You can bid any mix of C1 projects you want.

When we were touring Pioneer we were not able to see the MDF because of a meeting. We wrote on our documents that the HP 5406 modular switch modules were full. Do you want another Modular Switch added to the MDF or just a Managed switch that can be connected at the 10GB rate.

Answer:
The current modules on the switch are full, but there are two empty slots for two additional modules on the currently installed switch.

Would it be possible to make an appointment for a walk through of the High School to check Switches and type of Fiber to each Switch? If not can we get pictures of each Switch and what MDF or IDF they are in?

Answer:
Sorry for the delay, just added the pictures.  All IDF closets and cabling are consistent with this, the same multimode fiber cabling and connection to the switch.  The one exception is the Field House, which we looked at during the initial walkthrough.
