Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

Is there a particular manufacturer you are looking for? What kind of throughput are you seeking?

Answer:
Would prefer a Meraki branded access point with at least 900 mbs throughput and more in dense areas such as libraries, cafeterias, etc.

1. What model number of Meraki access points do you prefer? 2. Would you accept company recertified or manufacturer refurbished products? Or would you like new product only?

Answer:
I would prefer the mr26 for classrooms and mr34 for larger areas such as cafeterias and libraries.

Recertified and refurbished is fine as long as it is supported by the Meraki cloud management.

Will the school require a Wireless AP for each room listed or will you just want to assure all are covered with wireless signal? Will power injectors be required for each AP? Will there be a need for external Antenna's for any of the AP's?

Answer:
Coverage and capacity is important and Im not as concerned with having one for each classroom as long as the building is covered/capacity needs met. Switches are POE so injectors are not needed. No external antennas are needed.
