Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

Can you provide floor plans (even scanned jpeg fire escape plans will suffice) for facilities needing wireless AP coverage? This will allow us to more closely determine AP needs based upon heat map software comparisons for AP placement.

Answer:
We already have district wide wireless but have maxed out our access points for the controller.  We're looking to upgrade the controller and add a few access points. All of our equipment is from Aruba networks.

Hello, In order to provide the most complete and cost-effective solution, could you kindly answer the following questions regarding your wireless requirements: 1. How many buildings and classrooms require wireless connections? 2. Approximate square footage of desired coverage area? 3. How many clients do you expect to have on the network at any given time--both now and in the future? 4. Is there a 1:1 initiative or BYOD initiative driving this project? Thank you for your time and consideration. Cheers, Brian Roakes Meru Networks broakes@merunetworks.com 813-280-0895

Answer:
We already have wireless in the district through Aruba networks,   We are maxed and looking at adding a new Aruba controller (or functional equivalent) so we can add more wireless access points.  All buildings have wireless coverage.  We are looking at adding more access points to increase the coverage. We are in the middle of initiating our one-to-one plan no plans for byod.

Do you know how many long distance minutes you average per month? Do you own and maintain your own routers and firewall or do you want us to include managed router and firewall in our pricing for the 1 Gb WAN connectiona and 100 Mb Internet Access?

Answer:
Long distance minutes average per month is 1112.5

We do own and maintain our own firewall and routers and would like to keep it that way.

Would the District entertain bids for PRI service? If yes, please provide number of 2-way trunks and DIDs.

Answer:
 No, not at this time
