IFCB Requirements :

·         All Questions and Bids must be submitted using the on-line IFCB system. ·         Bidder must agree to participate in USF Program (AKA “E-rate”) for the corresponding funding year.

 

·         Please include the correct Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) on your bid.

 

·         By submitting a bid, bidder certifies that the bidder does have a valid (non-red light status) SPIN for the E-rate program at the time of submission. Should the Applicant discover that the bidder is on red light status, or if the FCC classifies the bidder as on red-light status before work is performed and invoices are paid, the contract will be null and void and the applicant will have no payment obligations to the bidder.

·         Contracts must not prohibit SPIN changes.

 

·         Bidder must agree to provide the Applicant the choice of discount methods (SPI or BEAR).

 

·         Bidder will be automatically disqualified if the District determines that the bidding company has offered any employee of the District any individual gift of more than $20 or gifts totaling more than $50 within a 12 month period.

 

·         All contracts awarded will be contingent upon E-rate funding and final board approval.  The applicant may choose to do all or part of the project upon funding notification.

 

·         All contracts awarded under this IFCB bidding process may be voluntarily renewed by the applicant, upon written notice to the provider, for five consecutive one year terms.

 

·         WEB HOSTING VENDORS ARE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT THE ATTACHED COVER SHEET FOR WEB HOSTING BIDS. WEB HOSTING BIDS SUBMITTED WITHOUT THAT COVER PAGE WILL BE DISQUALIFED. VENDORS NOT SUBMITTING WEB HOSTING BIDS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO USE THE COVER PAGE.

Local phone service – Approx 19 POTS lines

Long distance service – Approx 19 lines; applicant currently averages approx 250 minutes per month

Cellular phone service including internet access/data plans – Approx 14 lines

Wireless internet access/data plans for mobile hot spots – Approx 3 mobile hot spots

Wireless internet access/data plans for tablet devices – Approx 20 tablet devices

Internet Access – Minimum 200Mb bandwidth, applicant is considering upgrading up to 500Mb bandwidth.  Service providers are encouraged to submit bids/contracts with scalable bandwidth pricing from 200Mb to 500Mb bandwidths.  The terminating address for this circuit is 801 State Street, Senath, MO 63876; (573) 738.

Email service – For approx 150 staff accounts and approx 800 student accounts

Web Hosting – For 4 sites.  There is a Web Hosting Cover Page associated with this IFCB that is available for download.  WEB HOSTING BIDS SUBMITTED WITHOUT THE ATTACHED COVER PAGE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Hosted VoIP Phone Service – Applicant needs VoIP dial tone service to approx 150 handsets; a circuit will be required, applicant is expecting to need approx two T1 circuits;  service will be to buildings with area code and prefix (573) 738 and (573) 737.

What wireless specification would the district like the Access points to be capable of? (A/B/G/N/ALL) Will the access points be mounted to ceiling grid or wall mounted? Is there an existing wireless controller that needs to be interfaced?

Answer:

Aerohive is our existing hardware and I want to stay with that (or functional equivalent).  The mount depends on the room however, most are ceiling.  No controller as Aerohive doesn't use one.

Can you tell me the model of the Aerohive Access Points they are currently using?

Since there was bad weather today, will there be another walk thru to look at the fiber and data cabling?
