Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

1)IFCB shows 6,000 ft. of CAT6 cable but did not see a request for the installation of cables. Is the client wanting the cable only, or will there be a need for the service provider to do cabling?

Answer:

We need cable only we don’t have enough funds to even consider installation with erate money and this is on our new construction job so we have a team in place to install. Just trying to save money where we can.

1) Regarding the fiber drops: Is the fiber single mode or multi-mode? How many strands? Inside or outside runs? If outside are the runs aerial or trenched? Will we provide the LIU? Is the LIU wall mount or rack mount? How will we terminate the fiber (I.e. LC, ST, etc.)? 2) Regarding the CAT6 cable Do you want Plenum CAT6 or riser rated?

Answer:

On the Cat6 it needs to be Plenum. L

Fiber runs are indoors, Multimode with duplex LC connectors. (They are 10GB runs.)

LIU would be rackmount and need to be quoted as I believe all LIU’s are at capacity.

APC 700-800VA What model number are you looking for or what is the run time (up to) you are wanting? Patch Panels What connector type? Gender? Is there a specific model that you are currently using?

Answer:

On the APC UPS either the SMT750C or SMT750RM2U – bids for functionally equivalent equipment will be accepted.

Patch Panels would be RG45 cat6. (Tripp Lite Model N252-048 or something comparable would be acceptable.)
