Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

District is asking for installation of WAPs and swtiches. Is installation needed for the Tripp Lite wall mount enclosed cabinet? Is this cabinet replacing an existing rack/cabinet? Are the 12 Cat6 cable drops in one room?

Answer:

Rack is replacing existing and will be installed. Cable drops are going in multiple rooms.

Do you need the 24-port patch panels to be a separate line on our quote? We usually include all cabling items in our cabling hardware line item. Cabling hardware usually includes - Cat6 plenum cable, Cat6 jacks, J hooks, patch panel(s), wall boxes, tracking, 3' & 7' Cat6 patch cables.

Answer:

You should list them in a separate line item, or indicate on the bid that they are included in the total price so we do not think your bid is incomplete.

1) Will there be a Walk Thru inspection? 2) If so, when? 3) Is the cabling plenum rated or Non-plenum rated?

Answer:

there will not be a walk thru inspection and the cabling will be non-plenum rated.

Do you need cabling for the 3 wireless access points at the high school? Where will these be located (classrooms, offices, café, gym, etc)?

Answer:

Yes we will need cabling for the wireless access points. They will be located in the high school hallway to serve the classrooms.
