INTERNAL CONNECTIONS

Project Narrative

We are providing wireless access to a former residence hall on the campus of WNMU.  Due to the nature of the construction, steel and concrete filled cinder blocks, a WAP is required in each room.  Each room has an existing conduit with one Cat5, one Cat3, and one Coax.  District would like those removed and two pairs of Cat6 in place.

VOLUNTARY SITE VISIT

Vendors wishing to bid on internal connection can attend a voluntary site visit one day December 12th, or December 14th beginning at 10AM. Vendors will meet at Aldo Leopold Charter School located at 1422 Hwy 180 Silver City, NM 88061, then follow host to the site.

Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

We are an IT engineering firm located in Albuquerque, NM. We are interested in your CAT 2 wants. I have questions that I would like answered please. • Firewall - Your request is a Palo Alto 820? We would like to propose SonicWALL or Fortinet of similar/better specs. • Switches – We can present HP but we are more keen on proposing Extreme Networks. • WAPs – Aruba is good, but we want to propose Ruckus Wireless. Cabling of 34 drops can easily be done with CAT 6 Throughout, no problem. So please respond Sir, I want to be best prepared for this Bid. Thank you

Answer:

We will accept bids for any functionally equivalent equipment as long as it fits with our compatibility requirement and specifications listed on the IFCB.
