Should the Applicant discover that the bidder is on red light status, or if the FCC classifies the bidder as on red-light status before work is performed and invoices are paid, the contract will be null and void and the applicant will have no payment obligations to the bidder.

·         Bidder is expected to provide the lowest corresponding price per E-rate rules.  See http://www.usac.org/sl/service-providers/step02/lowest-corresponding-price.aspx for details.

E-rate rules require the applicants to evaluate the price of eligible goods and services that will be listed on the 471 application during the competitive bidding process. Fees and surcharges that apply but are not listed on the bid will be the responsibility of the bidding company, should their bid be awarded.

Answer:
Question: - How many WAP license do you have on WLC? Currently 42

Please confirm the quantity of new WAPs . 8-40 at each campus. We suggest you provide per unit pricing for the items that have a large quantity range, in addition to a total.

Should we give price for single run cable or total number (36) which is mentioned on Form 470 ? –  price needed for single run so price per drop

Would you like to have 1GB or 10GB Uplink ports between MDF to IDFs on each building?  10GB

Should we give price for single UPS or for 36 ? price for each (please remember you’ll have total on the required cover page).

Could you please give us more information about usage of requested router?   Needs to be able to handle a 1GB handoff from ISP.  Have multiple ports of ethernet and sfp

Would you like to have URL filtering and Malware protection Features with Cisco Firewall or just a basic Cisco Firewall ?   url filtering and malware protection – please bid on separate line item as these are not E-rate eligible.

On the list , it shows quantity is 4. Could you please confirm that how many you need? Yes, a total of 4 firewalls.

Can you provide the approximate number of users per location (including teachers, students, administrative staff, etc.)?

Answer:
 HS:  307 students & 55 staff

JH:  228 students & 40 staff

IN:  155 students & 27 staff

EL:  360 students & 35 staff

All approximate numbers.

· Can you provide the number of IDFs per campus (in addition to the MDF)? · Can you confirm the type of fiber cable runs from MDF to IDF for each location (Single mode vs multi-mode, om3 vs om4, etc.)? · Will any of the UPS battery backup devices need to support gear outside of this RFP, if so, what is the required amperage or wattage for that gear, per IDF/MDF? · What is the approximate run-time you would like the UPS gear to be sized for, specifically, how many minutes should the UPS keep gear up in a power failure? · Do you need any 10Gb functionality available in the MDF or IDF besides uplinks between IDF to MDF? · Would you be open to collapsing the firewall requirements into one larger device at the District Shared office for ease of management instead of having a separate firewall at each location? · What size racks would you like in each MDF/IDF? One single 42U rack or something smaller?

Answer:
1· Can you provide the number of IDFs per campus (in addition to the MDF)

All campuses have one mdf

Elementray has 2 idfs

Intermediate has 5 idfs

Junior high has 9 ifs

High school has 4 idfs

2 Can you confirm the type of fiber cable runs from MDF to IDF for each location (Single mode vs multi-mode, om3 vs om4, etc.) Fiber single mode 10 G

3. Will any of the UPS battery backup devices need to support gear outside of this RFP, if so, what is the required amperage or wattage for that gear, per IDF/MDF no

4.· What is the approximate run-time you would like the UPS gear to be sized for, specifically, how many minutes should the UPS keep gear up in a power failure?  USAC will only fund short term UPS solutions, so 15-20 mins

5.  Do you need any 10Gb functionality available in the MDF or IDF besides uplinks between IDF to MDF? no

6  Would you be open to collapsing the firewall requirements into one larger device at the District Shared office for ease of management instead of having a separate firewall at each location?  Yes

7.  What size racks would you like in each MDF/IDF? 4 post rack or the wall mounts where required.

One single 42U rack or something smaller?  42U 4 post is good where they can be installed other places will need wall mount.
