Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

I had a couple of questions about the Southern Boone School District RFP. First is this a complete rip and replace? Second, the HP 1810 our end of Sale, and so are the HP MSM430 Access Points. My engineer and I think it would be most beneficial to have a call over this, to make sure we are giving you a comparable solution.

Answer:
This project is not a complete rip and replace.  We are installing new access points and will need cabling from the switches to WAP locations.  The HP 1810 is bid out for management, not purchase. MIBS = Managed Internal Broadband Services, see the Eligible Services List for more detail on what is eligible under MIBS: https://apps.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/DA-16-1023A1.pdf.  Please continue to submit all questions through CRW Consulting.

What is the Lit Fiber Service – Minimum 11 Mb bandwidth at the HS to be used for? Is this solely for Internet connectivity to the Wireless network?

Answer:
The Lit Fiber Service is for internet and network connectivity.

The current Internet Connection at the High School is much larger than 11Mb, is the new service intended to replace this connection, or is it meant for redundancy, or to provide Internet access for another standalone type service.

Answer:
This is not our Internet connection, the circuit that you are asking about is our Wide Area Network connection that is used to push the internet to a separate school location.
