Including Dark Fiber Maintenance
Operations and Maintenance Practices: The (School District) will require on-going maintenance and operations of the fiber for the term of the lease. When pricing maintenance and operations, the respondent should include an overview of fiber maintenance practices including:
-Call before you dig locate services;
-Routine maintenance and inspection,
-Scheduled maintenance windows and scheduling practices for planned outages,
-Fiber monitoring including information on what fiber management software is used, what fiber monitoring system is used, and who performs the monitoring,
-Handling of unscheduled outages and customer problem reports?What service level agreement is included, and what alternative service levels may be available at additional cost,
-What agreements are in place with applicable utilities and utility contractors for emergency restoration,
-Repair of fiber breaks,
-Replacement of damaged fiber,
-Replacement of fiber which no longer meets specifications,
-Policies for customer notification regarding maintenance
CATEGORY TWO MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING:
PROVIDERS WISHING TO BID ON THE CATEGORY TWO PROJECTS MUST ATTEND A PRE-BID MEETING AND WALK THROUGH SCHEDULED ON FEBRUARY 18, 2016 at Cole R-1, 13600 Route C, Russellville, Missouri in Room 201, at 10:00 am.
CATEGORY TWO PROJECT DETAILS:
There is another document available for download (Cole Cabling Switching Wireless RFP) that detail this project. Please include installation for these items as well. Applicant will accept bids for functional equivalents when a preferred make/manufacturer is listed.
CATEGORY TWO DISQUALIFICATION FACTORS:
DISQUALIFICATION FACTOR: Vendors must attend a pre-bid conference to submit a bid. Bids received from vendors who did not attend the pre-bid conference will be disqualified.
Vendors are required to submit bids via the template “Internal connections – Template V15 – 1” for each individual school that is receiving equipment and a separate template for all shared equipment. Please name each template for the name of the school and project. Example: “Smith Elementary School Wireless Project” or “Wireless project shared equipment for all schools.” Vendors that do not submit bids in the required template format will be disqualified from the process.
We would also like for providers bidding on Category Two projects to also submit your bids in normal format – a word/excel/PDF as you normally would.
