Questions Received with Applicant Answers   ( Ask Questions? )

Answer:
AISD currently uses Meru Wireless equipment, but there is a possibility of a move to Cisco Wireless equipment

1. Do we need to call ahead prior to showing up for the walk through? 2. Can you provide more details on the switches? Including, number of fiber sfp's required if any, specifications on said SFP's, layer 2 or layer 3, if PoE is required, and media type on the 48 port 10 gig switch? 3. Can our rate for configuring the switches be included on the InternalConnectionsTemplatev151213.xlsm or does it need to be on a separate spread sheet?

Will Abernathy need new cable drops for additional AP’s? Will Abernathy be placing AP’s themselves?

Answer:
Yes we will need new cable drops for additional APs. We will not place APs ourselves.

Will Abernathy need new cable drops for additional AP’s? Will Abernathy be placing new AP’s themselves? Will Abernathy want the provider to rack and stack the switches?

Answer:
Yes we will need new cable drops for additional APs. We will not place APs ourselves. I am certain that we will have room in our racks for all switch placements.  We do want the company who gets the job to mount the switches in those racks.

Are you accepting bids for certified pre owned Cisco equipment that carries lifetime warranties?

Answer:
We prefer new equipment but we are willing to look at any cost effective solution that fits within the specifications of what we have bid out.
